The Upstairs Gallery is the chic exclusive dining room of The Gallery Cafe. The room, designed by Shanth Fernando, resembles a strikingly elegant living room popular for corporate functions, private parties and to entertain special clients. The walls are a shade of steel grey. Complimented by russet red Chinese collectibles and maditti seeds in a granite bowl. On entering the room one is struck by the deep aroma of sandalwood incense, while objet d'art and antiques from all over Asia make this room an experience within itself. In keeping with the Paradise Road minimalist style the room is a beautiful contrast to the weathered chic of The Gallery Café. A small bar is set up on an antique wooden shop counter alongside the permanent seating area. Interesting canapés are served as guests arrive and make themselves comfortable on the large white sofas adorned with antique shawls.
 
 

A closed air-conditioned room comfortable for private or corporate dinners and cocktail parties. Tables are laid with silver leaf under-plates and candles on grey and black batik tablecloths surrounded by elegant ash grey dining chairs with a single black stripe running through the center. Flower arrangements are white jasmine garlands, red ixora garlands or lotus flowers. A maximum of 36 people can be seated in the dining area and a maximum of 60 people for a cocktail party.
